President & CEO
Anthony W. Gorody, Ph.D., P.G., is a geoscientist with more than 30 years of diverse international and domestic experience related to the exploration and development of fossil fuels. He provides clients with consulting and training services which rely on a multidisciplinary approach to collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data. Applying basic principles behind the disciplines of geology, hydrology, geochemistry, geophysics, and petroleum engineering are all together a necessary prerequisite for addressing and solving problems related to soil and water resource contamination in oil and gas basins. Dr. Gorody’s educational and work experience allows him to effectively communicate with and direct project teams comprised of multidisciplinary team members with dedicated expertise in these disciplines. He also directly contributes to such teams through his expertise in state-of-the-art forensic geochemistry techniques useful for fingerprinting and characterizing surface and groundwater resources, stray gas, and other hydrocarbon pollutants. In addition, he is experienced in all aspects of litigation.
Dr. Gorody’s work experience is based on domestic projects in the Appalachian, Black Warrior, Uinta, San Juan, Piceance, Denver-Julesberg, Washakie, Wind River, Green River, Fort Worth, East Texas Salt, Texas Gulf Coast, Louisiana Gulf Coast, and Rio Grande Basins. He has also worked in and conducted international projects in the North Sea, Baltic, Telkwa (BC), Comox (BC), and Hat Creek (BC) Basins.
He is a Professional Geologist, and maintains licenses to practice in Texas # 10498, Wyoming # 3674 and Pennsylvania # PG004977. He is a member of the National Groundwater Association, American Water Resources Association, American Association Petroleum Geologists, Society Petroleum Engineers, American Geophysical Society, American Association for Advancement of Science, American Institute Professional Geologists, Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists, and the Houston Geological Society.
Dr. Gorody received both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Rice University where he was a Weiss Fellow. He is fluent in Spanish, and speaks conversational French, German, Russian and Hungarian. He stays current and up to date by both conducting and attending training workshops, and taking credit-approved courses throughout the year.
